As a customer experience leader my role is to lead the customer care team into making sure all our customers have a great experience every time they visit our store, i deal with all the complaints and make sure my team are cleaning to a high standard as well as interacting with the customers.
Yes! I have constantly been learning and improving myself ever since i first started this job role two years ago! I am constantly doing online training modules for the company itself, i have been on several training courses to get my promotions and to help me be better at my job i am also now doing a hospitality apprenticeship to better myself.
I really enjoy my apprenticeship it gives me the opertunity to learn new things and to better myself, also with having to redo my maths and English qualifications as it was a while since i left school its been great to brush up on my knowledge of these subjects which can be useful both in my work and home life.
Very! everything i need for my apprenticeship is at my disposal all the time between the online portals everything is very easy to navigate and very organised. i have constant support from my trainer, we meet once a month to review work and set new workloads and targets. I also get frequent emails talking about my tasks to be done with tips and help and support.
The amount of support i recieve in my work place in great! My business manager sets up regular "hows it going" chats and is always asking me in general conversation if im getting on ok with y coursework and if i need any help as she has done a similar apprenticeship herself with the same provider and she knows how all the portals ect work. Work always make sure they schedule me for training meetings and appointments when i am free and available and they pay for all my training plus my time whilst i am doing so.
My training provider is frequently in touch with me whether it be by email, text or phone call, I have a phone number for my mentor which i can use as and when needed also an email address. Ive not needed any help so far but i am very confident that they would be more than happy to help me if and when i ever reach out to them.
In my job role i have to be customer obsessed and always put the customer first this apprenticeship basically goes hand in hand with these values so i think that i will make some important progress throughout this program that will better me in my position. I have also learned lots of new information about the company i work for due to a module i have just completed called "understanding your organisation" which is great. I have also learned some new ways to interact with customers through a previous module which i have taught to my team and put into daily practice.
Yes! I like to take part in and often organise and run a lot of events at work! We give back to the community a lot through "love where you live" events, this is where we go out into the community and help out, this can be anything from traffic control, litter picking, planting and painting, and helping out in care homes. I also organise a lot of events to raise money for the "RMHC" charity which is very rewarding and a lot of fun. We as a store are very social and we often plan crew do's we have two official events for crew a year but we always plan more to do out of work as we all get along so well as a team.
Yes
Mcdonald's is a fantastic place to work, there is so many opportunities to progress and learn and just to generally better yourself! Even though its a very fast paced high demand environment there's always a happy vibe and everyone is always cheery. We all do so much out of work together between all of the planned events that we are all very close which makes working together great.
Always be yourself and be genuine! in such a high demand environment there's no time to be anything else. Take every oppertunity to progress and learn as it will not only help you in your career at Mcdonald's but you will gain real life qualifications and degrees. It is a very rigerous application process as you have to meet certain requirments to make it through to the interview stage theres a couple of questionairres and a multiple choice assesment.
