On a daily basis, i work through various client specific files and check their numbers back to supporting documentation carrying out various tests. I am usually office based but have the opportunity to work flexibly and from home.
Everyday i learn new skills. My computer/ excel skills have advanced. The way i interact with clients via phone calls, emails and in person has improved. On a day to day basis, my social interaction increases in the office and i learn how to work with different grades/ characters/ cultures
I enjoy my programme very much. Its not easy but well worth it and there is a lot of support. The job opportunities are my favourite as i love working with numbers
Very well structured. College is set and you get put in a cohort which you will be with for the entirety of studying. On a work basis, we have an excellent resourcing team who work hard to get you on the most suitable jobs.
A lot. We have access to many different departments who are willing to help but the most important side is the people around you. Everyone in the office is extremely caring and understanding and there's always someone around for you to chat to.
There are many avenues to go down for help. Kaplan are brilliant if you approach them. They are directed by what PwC ask.
100%. Everything you learn is relevant even if you dont realise it at first. It is very suited to the job role.
Of course! We have a full social committee in the office which i am a part of. We put on monthly socials for employees to attend. The biggest are sports day, christmas party, away day and end of year social. We also take part in PLSA seminars in the pensions team
Yes
There are just so many opportunities that most employers cannot provide. If you are ever unhappy or want to change job roles, PwC can make that happen where as in other roles, you may be more restricted.
Be the best you. PwC is all about the people and you need to be able to fit in the office well in addition to having the basic professional skills. Be very willing and ready to put in some hard work.
