Going to exchanges and running mechanical and electrical routines as well as fault finding and resolving. mainly electrical work.
Yes feel competent in all things electrical, in running air conditioning units and how to maintain a large site.
Enjoy, although exchanges are dated and equipment is old, the work is interesting and enjoyable.
Not the best organised, have to push quite a few training aspects yourself, but worth it if you do so.
The support is what you need, there is always someone willing to help you but you will get left to your own devices if you prefer that also.
Poor training, teaching was poor, had to learn most by just reading books.
Not to specific but it is hard to be specific to BT's needs as they are so abnormal.
