I work on major government contracts, delivering WAN solutions. I chair customer calls, liaise with individual sites, solve problems and organise commission and migrations.
I have hugely improved my technical knowledge and stakeholder management skills since joining the programme.
I really enjoy the programme and feel I get everything I wanted and more out of the apprenticeship. The team I work with is great and help me to learn everyday.
The programme is very well organised. Our week long training courses are clearly set out by QA at the beginning of the apprenticeship and our management team organise knowledge shares etc to enhance learning.
I feel very well supported by my line manager and department manager. They ask for lots of feedback and take it on board, they are always looking for ways to help the apprentices with any training, upcoming exams etc.
The training itself is very good and we come away with lots of good quality learning materials too. However, the skills coach provided by QA does not add very much value and I'm not actually sure what he's meant to do.
I think the APM PMQ is a very well chosen qualification. It fits in well with BT's methods so can be used in my everyday activities and is widely recognised.
We have organised and carried out a successful charity night in aid of Daft as a Brush however we all agree we should organise more social activities.
Yes
I feel well-supported and know I have options and a future in the business ahead of me.
Be honest and don't be afraid to say when something isn't working well for you - our managers are always looking for ways of making things better and you're a part of that.
