Shadowed employees in their insurance sector. Create presentations e.g. how technological insurance is revolutionising the world and perform them to my team leader. Also involved in attending meetings and recording relevant data for my presentation.
It was an invigorating job, that ultimately allowed me to communicate and articulate myself with colleagues efficiently. I got on well with my peers and the customers. Furthermore, the job possessed my knowledge with an enhanced understanding of life in the real world. Overall, this was a rewarding experience for me.
It was so good that I am going to suggest it to my younger cousins, whether they’re interested in financial services or not.
I liked the idea of the induction and ingratiating ourselves with our peers. Then, shadowing your buddy for the two days to gain a better insight on their role was very precise.
The business culture that the employers portrayed showed me that the atmosphere at PwC is extremely refreshing and key. Also, It would be wonderful to gain experience on how a ‘Big Four’ functions in an essential time period e.g. April.
It has strengthened my decision on working in Financial Services because their values such as: ‘be the difference’ motivates me to break the chain that an impoverished adolescent is socially restricted.
Yes, I was paid by an hourly amount and no, I did not need to be reimbursed for my travel.
Yes, we began with an ice breaker challenge to settle our nerves and by the end of the week we could connect easily with one another because we were confident.
