I was a consultant based in the Edinburgh Office. I spent time with the client and worked all of the project that I was assigned. I worked directly with their data, this allowed me to improve my data science skills
Improvement of my communication skills, both verbally and written. Improvement on my word processing skills. Lost of improvement Excel documents
I really enjoy the programme, the university and work balance is really good. the team working aspect is not something that I'm experienced with however it was great to see how large teams interact together. The work that I did was both interesting and challenging
Very unorganised Very little communication from workplace until project started Constant confusion throughout year on what we needed to do
Lots of support during the 10 weeks on placement, including a mentor and "Buddy" these where great whilst I was here as I could contact them if I had any questions. The project team where also very support and always available to help me
During uni there is very little support. However we have been given access to an online learning platform paid for the company and this should help for next year.
At the present moment there is not much cross over however as the placements get more focused it should become more aligned
Yes, on the project team there where a lot of different activities that we could do after the work.
Yes
Great opportunities company wide. Lots of opportunities for further study and qualifications
Be yourself Don't get stressed over the application process. The interview process might sound scary but it isn't, be yourself. Ask for lots of information during the process and the interviews.
