Technician Trainee, GA Drawings, 3D Modelling, P&ID's
Studying for my HNC LEVEL 4 In mechanical Engineering, First aid course, autocad course. i have learnt many new things regarding piping design.
The people you meet, the freinds you make, i also like how i am supported on the apprentiship scheme, as nobody expects you to know alot when you start work. They allow you to learn and inevitably make mistakes.
I get given exciting jobs and also the boring jobs so i feel that i am equally valued with the other apprentices in my department.
very, they have certain tasks to complete at certain stages of the apprentiship, also we conduct regular meetings with the other apprentices so that we can support eachother and raise any concerns we have.
Not a great deal, We started In SETA in stockport where we leaned the hands on side of engineering which was excellent, however now i have come to my role within costain i feel that there could be more done by my traing provider to support me.
A lot, everyone here allows you to ask them questions and if you are unsure of anything they will awnser you.
I have a nice pay package but i feel that rival companies give better offers in terms of hourly pay, travel expenses. i have not howver come into any dificulty with money such as debts etc.
there are Costain roadshows which bring all the company together.
Yes
because its a good place to work, good people who know what they are doing.
Be confident, just try and answer questions in the interviews honestly, have a good application, talk about yourself and the activities outside of work.
