My current role consists of data modelling using coding languages such as SQL and R to solve data issues/problems. This then allows many activities to be completed at a much faster pace with a higher level of accuracy, while also improving any existing practices and methods to a much higher standard.
I have already learnt many new skills since the start of my apprenticeship and have also developed many of my existing skill. I have improved my coding skills and have had the ability to learn new coding languages and understand how they work within the business and also in any other situations.
I am really enjoying my apprenticeship programme due to all of the support and respect I have been approached with. The company cultures have also aligned with what I was expecting as I have been made aware of and trained on the companies views and beliefs regarding customers and work.
My programme is very well organised as I am able to complete tasks in the time I need and also have time to do any extra research and learning to further develop my skills. I have enough time to complete any studying for my course and I am being supported with everything I do.
I receive a lot of support from my employers regarding my work and also my studies to make sure that I have enough time and that I am handling my workload suitably. I am provided with any guidance that I need and have also been given contact of other members throughout the society that would be able to offer support.
I receive the appropriate amount of support required for me to complete any studying and work related to my course. I receive guidance whenever I come to something that I am unable to complete and I am provided with a range of ideas and help that allow me to figure out a solution and will increase my knowledge for the future.
The qualification that I am completing will allow me to perform much better in my role as I am being provided with extra support and resources that will increase my knowledge and allow me to be able to apply it to aspects within my job role. This also makes me more aware of the uses and applications of things I am learning.
There are many social activities to get involved in that take place all throughout the year for any members within the business. There have also been many different events for new starters to get to know more people within the business and gain more knowledge about the business through interactive activities.
Yes
I would recommend Newcastle Building Society to a friend as the business and the people within it are very friendly and welcoming while also providing respect and support. They have also offered training and appropriate time management to allow me to complete any studying or work that I am required to reducing stress.
I made sure to do research into the business when applying for the job so that I knew what I was applying for and I knew some aspects of the business. If I was to apply and go through the whole process again, I would have been more prepared for group activities within the assessment days and also within starting the business.
