My day to day routines are never the same as we deal with different customers everyday and come across different challenges or issues that we have to solve. We work in either the kitchen where we produce all of the food or on front where we serve all of our customers.
I have learnt a lot of new skills and have definitely improved my management skills after starting work here and completing all of the work, going to all of the courses and also learning off different experiences which has made me into what I think is a very good manager.
My favourite thing about my programme is working with all of the different people at my store and learning to work with people from all different backgrounds of different ages, genders, religion and so on. I enjoy never having one day the same as another which makes my job always changing.
My programme is very organised and structured which makes it a lot easier for me to complete work and know how to get all the information I need for any type of work I am completing. I also have a personal tutor who is always just a message away if I need anything.
I have had a few issues with my employer as I had a mentor at work who moved stores half way through my first year this resulted in me not having a mentor and only recently have one replaced a few weeks ago but there was other managers there to support me.
I get a lot of support off my training provider as I have my own personal tutor who is always checking up on me and I also have set appointment every one or two months to go through the work I am doing and to answer any question I have.
Every piece of work that I complete with my training provider has some sort of relation with my work for example, I complete a test on what type of manager I am which was very useful to see what I am good at and what I need to work on.
We have regular crew day or night outs which is a lot of fun as you get to know every one you are working with on a personal level and create great friend ships, we have one at Christmas and then two through out the year, management also have their own twice a year.
Yes
It is such a diverse company with all different people working there which I think is really good as you learn to work with all different people. I never have a boring day and meet a lot of different customers everyday which makes my day a lot more interesting and fun.
Know what you are going to be doing as when you first start you will have to work the 'bad' station so that you know what goes into Mcdonalds but other than that you will be going into a very organised company who have an excellent management system and programme.
