Learning how to prepare food and cook food and also cleaning and legislation, technical sides such as online checks and online training , I am also studying English and maths as part of my apprenticeship and I will also be doing front of house stuff. Customer service and team building training.
I have learnt social skills being as it’s a very social job on both sides of the job both back of house and front of house but most importantly I have learned a trade that will be with my for a lifetime. I’ve made freinds and learned how to work in a team
I enjoy learning a new trade and building up my team abilities. I enjoy getting good compliments on my food and it’s a very rewarding job for both back of house and front of house. The managers are brilliant and supportive especially dealing with not only work problems but also home problems etc.
The training can be a bit confusing at times and on top of my online training and working its can be a lot to think about aswel as home life but overall the staff here are very helpful and understanding of all situations especially the managers. Online training can be a bit hard
I receive a lot of support on a daily basis as do the rest of the staff here which really motivates me to be the best I can be. I’m striving to get up the promotional ladder in the next few years and I really want to build a career from it
I receive support when it’s needed but the training can be confusing dates changed and communication with my trainer isn’t the best but overall it’s okay could be better but that’s something that I’m hoping will improve over time. I’m studying gcse with my trainer .
It gives the theory side of things aswell as broadening my skills within my role and gives me an understanding on what I need to be achieving each day and it motivates me to further myself to improve my role as a chef. Communication with the trainer could be better
I do not currently partake of any activities besides ha gong out with staff outiside of work and I’ve made a load of new freinds since being here which is good. I do think there should be more team building activities though . I’m unaware of any upcoming activities
Yes
It’s a great company to work for they offer you so much whether that’s doing your GCSEs or learning a trade. It’s the best job I’ve had although it can be hard at times it’s all part of becoming a good team player and making the most of things
Make sure it’s the job you want to do and be ready for a lot of work to begin with but over time there won’t be as much but prepare for long hours and a monthly salary but also you’ll meet loads of great people wether that’s collegegues or customers
