  • Ensuring Company's are compliant with Accounting Standards. This could be testing different financial statement line items, to give us assurance that the figures on the financial statements are correct.

  • I have developed teamwork, leadership, communication skills and also met some really good people.

  • I love the way you can experience the University lifestyle but also you have a stint at working life as well. Therefore, you get the best of both worlds.

  • Very well organised. The process was fluent, did not have any hiccups along the way.

  • 5. How much support do you receive from your employer?
  • A lot, hangouts is a perfect example of how you can get supported. There is always someone making sure you are okay and that if you need any help with anything.

  • 6. How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
  • A lot, which is great for me as we can become more motivated to achieve our overall goal to become a qualified chartered accountant.

  • 7. How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
  • It helps with the type of work we are doing. There is a lot of relation, therefore, you can complete the work to a high standard and efficiently.

  • 8. Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
  • Yes, there is football; however, I did not manage to get involved in this placement due to the workload, but next year I will definitely try to get involved.

  • Yes


  • 9b. Why?
  • The environment and the people who work there. People are very approachable and you can be yourself. PwC allow you to make yourself a better person by being yourself which I think is the most integral part of the company.


  • 10. What tips or advice would you give to others applying to PwC?
  • Be yourself. Be motivated to achieve your goal, if there are hiccups along the way, that is normal, it is how you react to them hiccups and push through.
