On a day to day basis, I am given tasks to do from my team. This can range to testing to documenting results. The jobs I am given are challenging but also are at a level which I can be trusted to do well. The jobs involve using prior knowledge studied at University.
New skills such as self-management have been gained. Skills that have been developed include teamwork. This is essential in the job as teams are a vital part of getting the work done but also for future progression. Skills are constantly developed and due to being challenged it helps to further develop yourself to be the best you can be.
I really enjoy the programme as I am able to study and enjoy the uni life but also solidify my knowledge gained from modules in practical experience. This helps as it showcases certain aspects learnt into real life and to better understand concepts. The programme also helps to make connections early before embarking on any career.
It is a very well organised programme. Regular communications are sent out to keep everyone on the same page. Meetings are held to communicate what to expect in the next few months and any points of action. The programme has a contact who is regular in contact which helps and the programme is well structured due to the University and the company being on the same page.
I receive a lot of support. A lot of people are on hand to help be that via phone or email. This is particularly helpful when you are new to the employer. The teams you work in are always happy to help and are keen for you to know what you are doing which only helps the individual to make most of their time.
A lot of support. Lecturers are always available via email and also set out times for meetings if required. Resources are frequently uploaded to help towards studying for exams. Exam practice is regularly given and helps to prepare for the main exam. Constant communication is given which helps when preparing for exams.
The modules are very relatable towards the role. The studying of certain topics help when assigned a task. This helps to understand the work better and as a result helps to do the job better. This helps towards a better impression created and helps to create a general positive impression through networking in the firm.
There are a lot of social events available meeting a lot of needs. From sports to dinners and regular team socials to enable a better cohesion of teams. There are many activities to be involved in. The onus is on the individual to make the effort as there are a lot of events to be involved in.
