On a day-to-day basis my role includes general admin tasks for our companies website and learning hub, answering the phone, proof reading documents, responding to learner questions, assisting trainers with editing workbooks and E-learning resources as well as enrolling all learners onto courses and making sure all passwords are correct and working
I have been taught how to use many new programs since beginning at GLP Training, including taking a more in depth look at excel, word and power point. I've also been taught how to use software such as Illustrator, Photoshop, In Design, Articulate story line, and other graphic design software.
G.L.P Training have made my apprenticeship incredibly enjoyable. After a rocky start with my original trainer, i was given a new one and instantly began to enjoy my course more. I was unsure what to expect from a business administration apprenticeship, however I've learned many valuable skills, both relating to my apprenticeship and other tasks that i have to carry out on a day-to-day basis, which i will be able to apply in other areas.
My programme is fairly well structured, although I found that I was able to complete the textbooks and work books fairly quickly. Although this is a reflection on the learning materials themselves rather than GLP Training and my trainer. I have meeting scheduled with my trainer regularly and I can always contact her with any questions, no matter how small. There are a lot of extra resources that GLP have provided on their learning hub and I have found these very informative and helpful in relation to the course that I am doing.
My employer has been incredibly supportive since i started my apprenticeship. There were a few issues with my original trainer but these were very quickly resolved and I felt fully supported whenever I had meetings regarding my apprenticeship. I know that I can go to them for advice and support and i'll always be met with a friendly face and reassurance.
My training provider is very supportive. They have an amazing learning hub where all of the resources for my course are easy to access, as well as extra e-learning files and online resources which relate to my course. These include TED talks and podcasts, videos, interactive e-learning resources which G.L.P Training create in house, and more. I have a direct number for my trainer who I can contact with any questions or concerns and i always feel as if i have her full support and encouragement to do the best that i possibly can.
As my role involved a lot of administrative tasks, i feel as if my course is very helpful in relation to my job role. I've learnt many new skills which i can apply to my everyday working life which will not only help improve my work, but also help me to become more efficient in what i'm doing.
My company hosts an annual conference which all staff members attend, this is not only a chance to discuss our successes but also a chance to get together and do some fun team building activities with colleges from across the company. We also attend conventions that relate to our industry.

If you're looking for an exciting career and want to learn while you earn, and apprenticeship with GLP training is a brilliant idea. They're an innovative and growing company who put their learners first. If you're willing to put the work in, then it will pay off. GLP are invested in making their learners futures better.
