Assisting the managing QS in project related duties, this includes administering payments, producing cost reports and also helping with project close out. I also undertake a number of subsidiary roles helping new apprentices and graduates who have joined the business
Developed a lot of software skills such as the use of Excel as well as improving my public speaking ability and communications skills. My uni work has also taught me a lot of information which is helping me get my degree and chartership
I really enjoy my programme and am so happy that I picked it. I feel I am well supported by both my employer and university. I think the quality of material provided by both is excellent
At the beginning I think there was a little confusion about the programme requirements with my employer although this has now been resolved. Likewise my Uni was unclear on the chartership process which again has been looked into
I receive a lot of support from my employer, I couldn't ask from more from them. Whenever I have requested anything to do with my programme, it's been met with a positive response.
I receive a lot of support in terms of getting my BSc although they haven't been particularly helpful with the chartership process. They have pushed me to start it although the ownership is on them to enroll me; which they haven't
I can see how the qualification will prove relevant to me later down the line, although at the minute it is a little difficult to see the connection between the two.
Yes there are so many, I help out with a lot of formal and informal events. Most of which are advertised on Yammer. They are very positive about involving people in work like this.
Yes
Great company to work for. Really do look after their employees. I've been seconded into other clients and there culture is nowhere near as good as Mott MacDonald. They provide so much support and actually care about what you want to do and how you progress.
Show what you can do, they want to see what you can actually offer to the business. You need to stand out and prove that you'll be worthwhile hiring
