  • 2. Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
  • One new skill that is major for this job is the skill of climbing overhead line poles using climbing equipment and climbers(spikes). Other skills include working at height using tools such as scanners, rackets, crimp guns and hydraulic cutters to name a few , gaining confidence of working at height. These are skills that I now have a strong understanding of.

  • 4. How well organised/structured is your programme?
  • Very well structured in the sense that once you join SSE everything is organised and ready for your apprenticeship to begin. The induction week was organised well in advance with good notice prior to the start date , and all our courses for training and college dates are provided a year in advance.
