Every day is different at E.ON- which is something that makes the degree apprenticeship here so great! Depending on the placement you are on during the 4 years, the day-to-day roles will differ - however, the way you work is up to you.
In the 5 months I've been at E.ON my confidence has been boosted massively- after spending my initial placement in customer services I also improved my problem solving, and communication skills- and have found myself building more resilience and business acumen.
The programme can be enjoyable as you make it, as you can effectively chose your own placements- and get involved with projects that interest you throughout the organisation. I have really enjoyed my programme so far, and have also met some amazing people along the way.
The programme is structured well, with uni days happening around every 8-10 weeks which gives you enough on the job time to get engaged with the role. There is also 20% on the job learning which means I have had time during my role to do my apprenticeship work.
Upon joining I was assigned a graduate buddy, as well as a senior mentor in the organization.
I have a university mentor who I have quarterly meetings with to ensure I am having the support needed for the programme, and am gaining adequate assignment feedback.
Through studying modules at university I have found myself with better business acumen, and with increased ideas for improvement within the organization.
Although I have not joined any as of yet, I am aware there are football matches that go on that employees can join in with. There is always opportunity to create a social activity at E.ON as you will meet a wide range of people who may have the same interests as yourself.
Yes
E.ON is a great organization to work for if you fancy a challenge, and work for an organisation that contributes hugely to millions of people's lives around the world.
Be yourself and smile :)
