I work in Area 7 design services working for Kier on behalf of Highways England. My work involve working on my own schemes as well as assisting my team to complete their schemes.
I have learnt how to use CAD and begin to get a greater understanding of standards used for highway design
I am enjoying my programme, gaining skills and knowledge as well as hands on experience
It is well structured with weekly online lectures and activites to complete. Block weeks allow for face to face interaction
I recieve all the support as well as 20 % off the job learning
I receive all the support i require from my training provider
Gaining knowledge of civil engineering is allowing me to become more confident in my role and my decisions
We try and orgainise a basketball game once a week
