I am an apprentice in my second year. We will move around different placements over the four years. My role differs dependant on where I am at the time.
Yes, I believe my communication, inter-personal, problem solving and time management has all improved within the two years. You are trusted and held responsible for what you do.
I have been on a different apprenticeship previous, and this one is above and beyond. 10/10
Could use some work but I understand due to moving onto the New Standards. It is new to everyone and after we have been through it all, I believe the company will grasp the better understanding and structure the programme better.
Anything I need I can just ask. It will get done and assessors and our managers will put head over heels for us.
We have frequent reviews and planning sessions. This is were behaviours are looked at, enrichment is noted and the planning sessions map out our job packs which makes it a lot easier to do.
It helps grasp a theoretical knowledge which can the be applied physically. Maths problems and problem solving gets easier whist doing FE alongside.
Yes there Is plenty. We do outward bound residential, German exchange, site visits, national apprentice week etc. Plenty to choose from and helps with the qualification.
Yes
Best apprenticeship out there in my opinion. You're trusted, its an amazing atmosphere and the jobs at the end of it are exceptional. The benefits such as pensions and shares are some of the best about.
Figure out what BAE actually is. Prepare for your interview, keep your head screwed on and apply for the scheme that is best for you. Do not get stuck in something you hate.
