My role is an apprentice Engineer, i work Monday to Thursday with one of those days at college which is located on site and the other three days are spent in a placement which moves every 3 months.
All the skills i have learnt have been new, as i was in a different industry prior to starting my apprenticeship.
The programme is thoroughly enjoyable and i would recommend it to anyone. I enjoy coming to work everyday
It is well structured but there could be a bit more communication with it.
There is lots of support offered, i felt like i could ask for help with anything.
you are well supported as your work is constantly being marked and monitored so you know what you need to do and when it needs to be done for.
It gives me the knowledge necessary to complete the job
There are a lot of extra-curricular activities to get involved in. There are constantly emails coming through which give you the opportunity to get involved in different things.
