I am in CRM (Customer Relationship management) In Procurement as an Advanced Business Apprentice which means every day is different. Some days I will be doing pricing, spread sheets and IFS and others I will be presenting a power point I've created.
Confidence is the main skill as I have developed it in by calling new people and doing work with new people. I have also developed my presenting skills a bit more and I used to get really nervous but now I'm a bit more confident. I feel I have also gained a new skill which is professionalism as I came straight from school.
coming straight from school I have found certain aspects of the Apprenticeship quite tricky but I have loved every step. BAE Systems have made me feel comfortable and helped me settle into my first placement.
Our programme is structures fairly well. At the start when we joined we were put into the work place without laptops which proved quite tricky as there wasn't much we could do. Sometimes they are a bit behind with information but overall I would recommend it to anyone.
I received as much support as I needed from my employer and everyone else on the team.
I receive a lot of training especially in off the job days and assignments. If I ever have problem they will always suggest going to them which makes it easy to open up and talk. Very helpful with work as well.
I feel it helps me a lot, I can use my off the job training in my work place and I have found it has already benefited me especially practising presenting.
They do Netball, Football and there is a gym. I have done a few charity helping events and also engagement sessions. I have also attended 2 Inspiring women sessions which have allowed networking to happen.
Yes
Easily on the best life decisions I have ever made, I have changed so much in the space of 4 months so I can't wait to see what I'm like when I have finished the apprenticeship!
Put all of your effort into it as mine paid off and I have a job here which I am extremely lucky to have.
