  • Project Management / Control. Maintaining schedule and finance data for a number of projects along with weekly updates and monthly reporting.

  • Yes. Both technical skills through Excel and MSP such as EVM and Critical Path and softer skills such stakeholder management and leadership.

  • I enjoy the nature of continuous improvement and the ability throughout the programme to work across a number of different areas and projects.

  • There are set structures for pay and progression with regular reviews held to cover both placement and educational activities.

  • 5. How much support do you receive from your employer?
  • In addition to the standard support structure for every employee I have mostly been comfortable with the forums and opportunities for feedback. The vetting process for placements could be more robust.

  • As much support as is required, keeping it fair for all students with a willingness to adapt and take suggestions.

  • 7. How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
  • Provides the underpinning theory that supports the practical work performed as part of my placements. There can sometimes be a disconnect between the level of work completed in placements and theory learned through the training provider.

  • Yes. There are many opportunities offered that mainly focus around STEM.

  • Yes

  • BAE Systems offers the ability to work across a variety of different business areas in a flexible way alongside the opportunity to network with Apprentices and Graduates from multiple early careers schemes and gain relevant qualifications throughout.
