Assisting the Project Managers with their daily work and reporting. Taking on smaller projects to manage

Yes, the apprenticeship has greatly increase my confidence and adaptability

3. To what extent do you enjoy your programme?

I have enjoyed many aspects of it, but I feel as though the scheme is still developing and there have also been a lot of areas for improvement

4. How well organised/structured is your programme?

From personal experience, I think it could be a lot more organised. This is improving over time, but still requires improvement

5. How much support do you receive from your employer?

There is general support available

6. How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?

This has varied throughout my time on the apprenticeship. This year we have distance learning via skype which has been difficult to get used to, but our lecturer is available

7. How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?

I think that it works the other way, I feel as though my placement work informs my qualification to understand how things actually work in real PM environments

No, unless we organise them ourselves

9a. Would you recommend BAE Systems to a friend?

Yes

9b. Why?

Because I feel as though it can be a good experience, even just for a few years. There are lots of areas to move around and it's a global company, so there are opportunities

10. What tips or advice would you give to others applying to BAE Systems?

Make sure you make the most of your placements and ensure that there is definitely valuable work for you to do on them, otherwise you can end up wasting a year on placement
