In my Job Role we attend College one day a month and work within the workplace for the rest of the Month. I am in a Procurement role which includes raising orders for Martin Baker and also the planning side of procurement ensuring parts go in the correct place.
I have learnt many skills and improved some aswell especially communication skills working with a completely new range of people gaining a understanding of how BAE works.
I have enjoyed every day so far working within my team and also with the apprentices at college to gain the best qualification possible and with the support we have I can hopefully achieve the best grade I can whilst becoming the most productive I can within the workplace.
At the start bit all over the place with security but now we have settled down it has become much more organised especially within lessons gaining a high level education whilst also gaining experience within the workplace.
Extremly supportive any issues I may have I know 100% they are there.
The support we receive is massive as any queries I have they respond promptly and answer the querie as soon as.
It gives me skills to pass over into the workplace for example with document production training I can put this into place in work as it allows me to mark the documents correctly and safely.
Plenty of opportunities to get involved in with the German Exchange & Princes trust as well as outward bound and local apprentichip councils.
Yes
The opportunities are massive and I couldn't think of anywhere else that provides the education & opportunities at this level within a working environment.
Show BAE how you have worked/ Been out of your comfort zone and pushing your limits. This key to success at BAE and also team working skills are massive so make sure you get them in there. Don't be shy and sell yourself!
