I am a project manager/controller so aid with the movement of projects within my business and manage them in order to achieve success within the projects.
I have definitely learnt skills involved with technology and tools within this realm. I have also developed existing skills of leadership, management, resourcefulness, innovation.
I thoroughly enjoy my programme here at BAE. It is challenging yet equally engaging and everyday you learn something new and challenge yourself further.
My programme is extremely well organised and everyone involved knows exactly what the next steps are within the process.
I receive huge amounts of support from my employer and I always know that if I am struggling that they are there to help me.
Everyone on this programme receives equal amounts of support when working towards our qualifications and we have plenty of sources to help us reach our goals related to our qualifications.
All of the work we do in terms of the qualification is extremely relevant in terms of the role in work. I often find that work I do at University is useful and aids me in my understanding of work within my role as I have a better understanding of processes within the business.
There are numerous extra curricular activities to get involved in at BAE Systems and they really focus on national events such as National Apprenticeship Week, in which plenty of activities are organised and planned, where everyone is allowed to partake in these as well as organising them if they wish.
Yes
It is a great opportunity to get involved with a successful business and see how such a business operates at a much closer view. It also offers many amazing opportunities such as international travel or even travel within the UK. They have a great work ethic and constantly focus on putting their employees first.
Although you may have the required qualifications so do a lot of others. You should also focus on finding something that will make you stand out from the other applicants such as extra curricular activities and awards that you may get outside of work and college as this will make you unique to others.
