In my day to day role as a level 3 nursery apprentice i undertake all the duties that the staff do that are qualified and i am not treated differently. I undertake roles such as having key children being responsible for the daily routine and sometimes take lead of activities to help improve my own learning. I complete different assignments that are uploaded on bud and complete these to the best of my ability with the help from my tutor.
I have learnt many skills whilst doing my apprenticeship such as all the research into theorists that have formed the eyfs for children in modern day, holding meetings that have built more confidence this involves holding parents evening to discuss their childrens development and furthermore undergo more training facilities such as first aid, safeguarding and food hygiene.
I enjoy this program very much and it has proven to show this was the job ive always wanted to do. The assignments are sometimes difficult but my tutor is always good at providing myself with the right resources which helps me to complete my assignment and build more knowledge.
My programme is very organised and structured as i can view what assignments ive done what still needs working and also whats left to complete. It also allows me to view how much percentage my course is complete to put into perspective just how much work and effort we put in.
My emloyer is very supportive and always tries her hardest to support me during my apprenticeship. This includes printing off worksheets, giving reviews and feedback and being honest what parts of my learning i need to improve on in order to complete my qualification accurately. She always encourages me and doesnt treat me differently to any other member of staff.
I recieve alot of support from paragon training especially from my tutor as they like us to enjoy the experience and keep the stress minimum when completing assignments and essays as well as day to day activities set by my tutor. They provide everything needed and do not hesitate to make the task simpler.
Got support and reassurance as and when I needed it. This helped to perform better on my role as I knew exactly what was expected of me and if I was unsure of what I needed to do my tutor at paragon training would guide me as and when I needed.
Within our workplace there aren't many extra curriculum activities as we focus mainly on improving our own provision for our children. Efficient training courses are displayed for staff to take part in and we also have work dos for staff to build and connect as a team outside of work.
Yes
Management is lovely and they provide so many opportunities to better individuals careers. For example I wanted to do level 3 then managers level moving forward. Manager was very happy to enroll me on courses of my choice and it has help to build on me knowledge and understanding within childcare.
Apply for this job if you feel you enjoy working with children. Staff are lovely and many career opportunities too. Set out is amazing and planning is so straight forward. All areas of eyfs are covered daily and new activities are changed weekly. Always resources and budget to get new ones.
