I deal with customer queries. I also handle all Home delivery and online orders. I'm also incharge of the frozen section in store which means I have to breakdown and work the frozen delivery 3 days a week. I'm also the store talking shop rep so I assist staff if they need help or advice about something.
I have learnt new skills around customer relations and stock management. I've also learnt more about how companies use technology to handle figures and order stock. I've also learnt how different retailers use social media to advertise and entice new and existing customers to buy products that are available.
I havent really enjoyed the programme due to the amount of activities that need to be completed. it has felt long winded and some of the activities and learning wasnt required as I have already learnt it all in my 3 years with icelands. also access to the activities was the best and I wasnt able to complete most of them
I don't feel it is well structured due to the amount of time required to complete a module and the activities. I couldn't access some of the learning pages. also I was given clear guidance or advice on how to complete some of the activities and modules required.
I havent recieved much support from my employer. I've had 3 changes in store manager in the duration of the course. this has therefore meant they weren't very understanding of the course and the time and support required. I also recieved no pay for the time I have spent doing my learning and modules.
I have received minimal support from the provider due to flexibility of my trainer and time available instore due to lack of staff and management. I have struggled due to the lack of support and have required more but it wasnt provided when I asked. if I was given more support from my trainer I think I would have been able to participate in my English and maths exams
I have felt that the training provided wasnt necessary as I was already fully aware and understanding of about 75% of the course due to my duty manager training and work at other stores with other managers. I have taken a better understanding of some of the legal and technological side of the course and it has helped me understand more about stock takes and data management
No there isn't. we are looking to set up an area 5 a side team to enter into a local league.
Yes
Great company to work for. you are given the ability to learn and develop skills you werent aware you even had.
Icelands is a great company to work for and progress to a higher level like management. it gives you an opportunity to learn and progress as a person and move around to other stores and work with different managers who you can learn new things from as they work in different ways.
