  • Aircraft engineering maintenance apprenticeship, which involves a range of tasks on aircraft from daily checks to weekly and any work required due to faults and warrenty parts failing. Wide range of issues which many need to be resolved and fixed.

  • 2. Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
  • Yes I have learnt new techniques and stages of work which required close attention to detail and Safety. Using tools that are new to me and also that iv used before.

  • 3. To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
  • I very much enjoy this Apprenticeship as I am enthusiastic and have a passion for engineering on aircrafts and aerospace.

  • Very organised an one of the best structures I have seen on a apprenticeship scheme. Very supportive and have excellent attention to Detail on our course.

  • The very best and they are incredibly helpful, resourceful and caring. They support you in every way.

  • 6. How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
  • Have not yet started this sector of the apprenticeship.

  • 7. How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
  • 100 percent supports us as it is motivational and the skills which must be taken on board as it is very much essential part of our experience and knowledge.

  • 8. Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
  • Yes there are, gyms and other activities like Duke of Edinburgh.

  • They are the best company to work for, the most reputable and experienced. It is a honour to work for this great monument of a company.


  • 10. What tips or advice would you give to others applying to British Airways?
  • Be honest and truthful to the company and yourself. Show your passion and love for the industry. Be enthusiastic and show case your skills and knowledge constantly.
