I manage customer accounts and sell IT into new companies or existing customers. I also engage specialists and work with internal teams to bring beneficial solutions with bespoke fitting to my customers IT remit and infrastructure. I manage customer relationships and build trust with clients to allow me to sell the correct solution to them.
I have learnt how to successfully time manage. I know which activities I need to be auctioning at certain times as well as setting day-to-day criteria adding structure to my working day. This makes me far more efficient and allows me to properly organise my time with customers, colleagues and vendors.
I really enjoy my apprenticeship programme as the managers and directors are so helpful with us at their forefront of working. They have our best interests at mind and help us with any request we may have, every step of the way. Also Softcat support us with bespoke apprentice leagues and sales figures.
Our programme is very well structured and provides us with the best support possible to allow us to progress suitably. We have a set 2 hours per week allocated specifically for our apprenticeship work, which gives us the perfect work and apprenticeship balance which can be hard t find elsewhere.
I receive a lot of support from Softcat throughout the course of my Apprenticeship programme. They always have time to answer my questions or hear my thoughts and are constantly taking feedback on what we would change or like to implement for the new apprentices after my intake finally finishes.
I receive a lot of support as our apprenticeship provider Remit come into our workplace once every month for 2 days. Softcat allow this time to specifically be aligned to our apprenticeship provider which is spent away from the desk. This allows us to solely focus on our apprenticeship scheme.
I feel that my qualification helps me perform far better in my role as I can use this to provide my worth to my customers with proven, qualified grades, which will add to the value that I already give it my customers. It also makes me know more about my work as this qualification directly links to my job.
There are loads of extra curricular activities which allow the true Softcat culture to be proven. I personally take part in the social gatherings that take place every quarter, often go out with my team after work and the activity which I utilise the most is football every Monday with some of my friends and colleagues.
Yes
It has a brilliant culture that drives the correct behaviours in people at work. Everyone is so helpful and supportive and extremely welcoming. Partnered with a friendly atmosphere, Softcat is truly a fantastic place to work and in my opinion there is no other employer I would rather have for my apprenticeship scheme.
Always ensure that you are involved with special functions and realty embracing the culture that Softcat strives on. Its best to get involved with every single event possible and cannot stress enough how good the company is if you get involved and step outside of your comfort zone every now and then.
