  • 1. Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
  • My job role is to help account managers and take some of their workload of them, this is so they can focus their time on their customers and work more efficiently. My job is to also act as the middle man between us and our distributors, this can be to try gain additional discount using their portals or configuring hardware to fit customers needs. we get all this sent over to the account manager so they can forward it over to their customer.

  • 2. Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
  • I have developed my confidence massively, getting on the phone to a distributor or account manager no longer seems like a daunting task, this is through advice from fellow colleagues and management. Networking is another main skill that I have developed here at Softcat, networking is important in the workplace and also in my personal life so this was a overall help!

  • There are a few tips i would give to people applying for Softcat. The main tip would have to be, take every opportunity you are offered as there will be many.
