My role as an account manager is to serve as a valued IT partner to my customers working proactively and reactively while adding value to their business. Not just acting on a transactional basis but being a trusted advisor.
Working at Softcat has been my first job in business and it has taught me everything i know and worked on existing skills including: communication, confidence, resilience, teamwork, professionalism and many more
as a graduate, looking back i really enjoyed the full process from the technical sessions to the practical sessions where we learn selling techniques. i have learnt so much and developed as an individual in the workplace
i believe Softcat's program is very good nd managed very well. Cannot fault it and deserve to be No.1 Apprenticeship in the country again.
I received as much support as i wanted and they were very clear that if you wanted extra support they could cater to it which was good.
we also received an average amount of support from our training provider but not as much as i would have hoped for, as we were a large group and only 1 trainer it was hard to get 1:1 time to achieve the best grade possible
i believe that the qualification had helped but the on job experience was the most important part for me
before Covid, Softcat extra curricular activities were very good and inclusive such as football after work and office events.
Yes
i would want them to experience what i did and join a very successful business
enjoy the process and try to absorb/learn as much as you can
