The Apprenticeship programme at Softcat is the best decision I have made. As an apprentice we have consistent support from both Managers and Development coaches to consistently improve and progress. With this role being the first corporate job since leaving school I have been so motivated by the peers working alongside me to be successful. I hope to continue my career within Softcat.
Since working at Softcat I have completely overwhelmed my previous skill set, the progression within my working attitude and work ethic since starting this job has reflected in my daily output. The relationships that I have been able to build with both my colleagues and customers is incredibly rewarding and motivates me to be as successful as I can.
I love the apprenticeship programme at Softcat, the programme has bridged the gap from school to work with ease. Due to the support from managers above us, this has made it easier to approach our workload and customers. The culture of the company has also meant that I have been able to bond with my colleagues in external events
The structure of the Apprenticeship Programme has an extremely organised structure that allows us to concisely complete coursework and daily tasks. We have an internal Learning & Development coach that provides consistent support whenever needed which means that any issues we have we are able to console in her whenever needed.
We have an internal Learning & Development coach that provides consistent support whenever needed which means that any issues we have we are able to console in her whenever needed. As well as this senior directors of the company consistently acknowledge our programme and support the success of apprentices on the course.
Our Apprenticeship training provider consistently come and visit all of the apprentices to debrief and task and work that we are expected to complete. As we complete these tasks they ensure that they support us the best they can. We also have a sales training coach who support us with successful techniques.
Our theory of our programme is incredibly applicable to our day to day roles. Our natural sales training provides us with strategic techniques to approach our sales role. This allows us to approach our customers with successful techniques to ensure their experience of us and Softcat is enjoyable. I am now aware of the relevant information about my jobs industry and job role.
Softcat have an amazing culture within the company, their frequent social events and charity events are always something to look forward to. It provides an amazing opportunity to socialise with people in other departments of the company. They have many organised activities that you can also participate in such as the football team, the volunteering team etc.
Yes
Softcat is an amazing company to work for, I would recommend it to my friends. I look forward to coming to work in the morning, as well as to see my colleagues. The bond I have with colleagues internally motivates me to do the best I can and as a result this helps me to reach my targets. I would want more people to experience the rewarding programme here at Softcat.
Don't stress about being the best fit for the job but endorse the company's values! Softcat want employees who practice the values that we share within the company, therefore this is something extremely important they look for. It is important to impress everyone in your interviews as they all have a say into the final decision of you getting that job! :)
