From taking a first call from a family who have recently lost a loved one, to arranging all what the client would like for their loved ones funeral. organising a order of service that suit the family to newspaper obituary's keep sake remembrance and taking the payments. Giving our client the best care and advice during a sad and emotional time from start to finish making sure we give the family their loved ones best send off.
Yes, I have learned all the different ways of how we use our data and how we keep things confidential whist doing our job roles as a funeral arranger. I also needed to brush up on my I.T skills and this role has given me the opportunity to do so.
the programme is very informative giving us learners the best chances of passing our apprenticeship. I have really enjoyed the development days taking all the information with me and getting to meet other people learning the same.
It was very well organised and structured well. The only downfall was the location. it was quite a far run from my home and that I found hard when I have small children that I need to organise childcare around this at awkward times so that I could attend the sessions and arrive on time early enough.
The support from my employer is good always let us arrange our time needed to make our training sessions
When I get the speak to my Apprentice coach things are great and I feel organised when she leaves but then I don't get to speak to her until the next visit which i find is a long time in between sessions etc and I lose where I am in the learning booklets and what I am suppose to be doing etc.
It lets us understand our role and why we doing things in a certain way which lets us perform in a better manner and way at work
We have a bereavement group organised by us at our branch once every month to show our on going support to our clients.. which is great! We also (myself and job share) have once every 3 months have a memory box with all kinds of things which we take up the local nursing home and host the day up there giving the elderly an lovely experience remembering all the little thing they might have forgotten.. I really enjoy this day and seeing their faces!
