As a Funeral Arranger I organise Funerals, Care for the deceased including funeral cosmetology and general care. I work with families and am usually the first impression they have of Co-Op. It is my responsibility to carry out administrative duties and run my branch day to day. I need to have extensive knowledge of the business and my community to ensure success. I also do pre-paid plans, Masonry, Floral arrangements and much more besides.
Not through people plus as since I had my apprenticeship meeting in June 2019 I have had 4 Tutors who have all quit the company before our initial meeting and now only have 5 months left to complete a course I haven't even started.
I'm unable to enjoy it as I have currently been left to fall through the cracks.
0% in the last 7 months I have had 4 tutors email me to introduce themselves and set an appointment only to cancel at the last minute and weeks later informed they've left the company. The last person didn't even message me I was at my appointment waiting for her and just never heard. I sent an email to them asking what was going on only to receive an automated response informing me they had left the company.
a lot they have been very good at chasing people plus every time i've complained.
0% Its a joke. I am now pressured to complete a year course in 5 months or loose my 100% pay and my NVQ through no fault of my own this in turn puts my branch at risk and under pressure too. I will be devastated if I fail but foresee no way in which I can do a years work in 5 months well 4 months and 3 weeks at this stage in the game. I would never use people plus again if I had a choice.
I would have no Idea as you can probably tell from my above answers but hypothesise it would have a very beneficial inpact.
not really no.
Yes
I think Funeral care is a great industry to work in although Co-Op does not pay very well and I'm on minimum wage I did not get into this job for the money. I think overall the support and understanding you get at Co-Op ins phenomenal and hope to be an embalmer in the future which Co-Op will pay for if I stay with the company at least 5 years although I feel People Plus have now jeopardised this process which I hoped to begin later this year after I passed my NVQ.
Very good company to work for but perseverance and patience is key.
