1. Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:

I am in the Third Party Indices team in the Global Data Department. I acquire, transform, upload and maintain the data that is presented on our products. I help clientele with any inquires about our index products to help them make informed decisions.

2. Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?

Before Bloomberg, I had very little knowledge about finance and data. Now, I have developed skills and an understanding of how data is acquired, processed and uploaded.

3. To what extent do you enjoy your programme?

I'm so thankful I applied here! I enjoy the working environment Bloomberg offers. Everyone at Bloomberg always helps others, no matter what.

4. How well organised/structured is your programme?

My programme is well structured and organised as we know what we will be doing throughout the apprenticeship and how we will achieve our goals. Bloomberg is very inclusive and always wishing for us to succeed so any additional help we need, they will do their very best to get it!

5. How much support do you receive from your employer?

The support I receive from my colleagues, managers and apprenticeship leaders is great! They support us, mnentally and emotionally which is very good. They understand both our day-to-day job and our apprenticeship work are a priorirty and they advise us in the best way possible as well as helping each of us,

6. How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?

My training provider helps us immensely. They know I am working towards a distinction and has offered to help me work towards achieving that goal. Our coach is willing to put the extra mile in and teach me the way I learn best.

7. How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?

Our modules has helped me get a better understanding of data and the processes involved to acquiring and uploading them.

8. Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)

Bloommberg offers many opportunities to network and interact in a social environment. Bloomberg is known for its philanthropy work which is what drew me towards them!

Bloomberg is such an amazing company. Their values are strong and they believe in you as a person and helping you achieve your goals.

10. What tips or advice would you give to others applying to Bloomberg?

Be yourself! Bloomberg is so diverse and being true to your nature is important. The company is always working on being inclusive and diverse, allowing opportunities to present themselves at every corner.
