Arranging Funerals, assiting and supporting families and organising a funeral service. Invoicing and taking payments. Liaising with third parties regarding paper work and decisions to be made. Updating the system to ensure everything is carried out and in place for a funeral service.
Through the job role itself and experiencing the role hands on I have learned many new skills.
The programme was started 6 months late and therefore anything I could learn from it. I had already pretty much learned via experience
I find, it lacks structure on many levels. There is little consistency in assignments on a monthly basis. One month I will have little assignments, the next several.
Co op as an employer very little support or understanding of work load and apprenticeship needs. Very little understanding!
My assessor is on hand if I need contact her.
The role is already busy and learning hands on is the way I have learned about the job. I find the qualification has gotten in the way so much as adding to work load not either assisting it or teaching me what I am not learning already in the role.
None that I know of. I have not been introduced to any
No
I feel that co op as a company hasn't really expressed itself as a caring, supportive, understanding company. It's not that i think it's a terrible company i only know a portion of the company.
My experience really , I would express... Be prepared that there might be no adequate training but, an expectancy to learn fast and own mistakes that are due to no training. Some support in some areas, if you know where to look. Too many cut backs that enforce heavier workloads.
