  • 1. Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:

    • I help clients use the Bloomberg terminal, from portfolio managers to financial analysts. Giving them tips and methods to carry out analysis for their important workflow day to day. I also help with product deployment in telling clients about new functionality that will be of use to them!

  • 3. To what extent do you enjoy your programme?

    • i enjoy the programme very much, and never expected to get the amount of responsibility that I have. Management are open to hear my ideas an implement them too. The Bloomberg community is such a great support system with all colleagues hands on wanting to help!

    • very well.

  • 5. How much support do you receive from your employer?

    • Immense support from everyone on board. I have a mentor that has weekly discussions on how to improve and get the most out of the programme, as well as with my team leader.

  • 6. How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?

    • loads of support from our skills coach who keeps in frequent contact with us to make sure we are on track and spend 20% of our time on the apprenticeship work.

  • 7. How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?

    • not so much, we do more finance than analysis, but the in house training for finance is amazing.

    • so many communities, teams, networking events, seminars.

    • Yes

  • 9b. Why?

    • It gives you the most valuable experience that you could have, even as a graduate. I have learned more than I ever did at school, and I have only been here for 6 months.

  • 10. What tips or advice would you give to others applying to Bloomberg?

    • Show off your skills no matter what they may be. There is no set standard of person that Bloomberg take in, it is more diverse than London itself.
