Build relationships within the community to ensure clients are fully aware of all the services that Co-op offer and to support them. Including pre-need and after care. Responsible for ensuring the client/funeral director relationship is enabled and facilitated, ensuring the client feels informed and supported at all times.
I have worked in the IT industry for over 40 years so EVERYTHING about this role is new to me with the possible exception of some management soft skills
I am thoroughly enjoying the programme and also networking with colleagues from other branches so we can exchange ideas and examples. It helps that our coach/instructor is superb and extremely knowledgable and encouraging
I’m very impressed with the structure and admin around the programme, obviously operational concerns need to be a high priority but there are plenty of courses so you can catch up easily.
Support from Co-op Funeralcare has been excellent and overtime for attendance on the courses is never refused. Colleagues are also very helpful in answering questions etc
Both my Co-op coach and people plus leader are at the end of a phone and always available to answer questions and offer guidance or advice
On completion of the programme and gaining the qualification will be a sign that I have covered all areas, in detail, of my working life and will give me tools to perform at the highest level for our clients
We are encouraged to promote the co-op and join in within the local community in various ways in fact it is a goal in my performance review. We do have the occasional team building event during working hours, but can’t say I know if any Social activities
Yes
As previously stated I’ve spent 40 years within the IT industry as a program/project manager. But I can safely say that this training programme is the best I have been on. And my colleagues are helpful and professional.
Know the local area where you are going to be working. Identify the churches, cemeteries, crematorium etc and join the community social media sites.
