Engineering. This can vary from design work to manual hands on work. Depending on multiply placements that I have encountered. Involves repair, Preventative maintenance, trial runs, design.
developed many new skills in hands on work along with the processes followed throughout my company in order to complete my job.
I enjoy my apprenticeship program thoroughly as there is a range of different activities to get involved in and experience that can be gained. With many different people and job backgrounds.
The program through the business and education is now we organised and structured. However, the first years of the apprenticeship were difficult in terms of structure.
My employer offers lots of support for their apprentices if needed.
Support from training provider can be difficult to receive. Although, the support can be good depending on tutors etc.
The qualification works well hand in hand with the work carried out in my business. Helping me to develop the theory behind the skills I learn.
There are a few extra curricular activities to get involved with. Such as being a part of the innovation challenge or careers events.
