Along with my team I arrange a funeral with our clients. We guide them through the choices available and then we will proceed to make contact with relevant third parties to bring the wishes of the family together. I will then conduct the funeral and organise the day of the funeral to ensure the funeral goes as planned.
Not through the apprenticeship
I do not enjoy doing any aspect of the work. The way it is planned out, the tasks I am required to complete do not help me in my role. When I completed the level 2 it was an incredible shambles. The company delivering the programme were abysmal and were losing staff faster than I realised any company could.
It is not well organised at all. It is not clear, it is not fit for purpose, it takes me away from a job I enjoy, from a job I take great pride in, and a job I am already capable of doing. It is a further added stress which is wholly unnecessary.
My employer expects me to complete my role to the best of my ability and knowledge as long as I am achieving the role that is what is important. My manager will give me what ever support I need but the programme takes away from me fulfilling my daily role, so it is not a priority.
Very little. From completing my level two with Learndirect when I was new to the role, the training provider did not know my role therefore could not support me in understanding the role. It was terribly done and all I learned I learned from my colleagues. The provider was a hindrance.
It does not in the slightest help me perform better in my role. It would be better if they observed me and offered feedback in a constructive way. This way of “learning” does not help me and hinders my learning and development which is entirely self led, it needs to be removed.

Yes
Because I believe in what the co-op do, I believe in the staff we have. I do not believe in the apprenticeship programme and believe it to be a waste of time
Go For it, but expect to have time wasted on the apprenticeship
