Project Accounting Role- journals, billable lines, CSR's, SSR's, working cross functionally with the project managers and commercial teams etc., working across a variety of projects to provide give me a well rounded knowledge of the role.
communication, confidence, problem solving, teamwork, business acumen, adaptability
I enjoy the balance of work and study, moving around different areas of the finance function gives me a well rounded knowledge. The only downside is that as it is a new apprenticeship, any questions that we have take too long to answer (i.e. failing exams/salary etc.)
Fairly well structured- again as a new apprenticeship, getting dates for our study blocks etc when we first started was a bit of a nightmare as they were still coming to grips with how/when we were going to do our study etc.
there is a lot of support options available- mentors, buddy's, placement managers, scheme leads, skills coach etc.
A lot - we are provided with everything we need to pass our exams (textbooks/ practice questions/ online videos/ email a tutor etc.)
Yes they complement each other really well
yes - National Apprenticeship week, outward bound trip, apprentice councils, STEM ambassador activities
Yes
Employee benefits such as salary/holidays/flexible working/work life balance. Earning while you learn and there's no obligation to stay at the end of your apprenticeship (i.e. you don't have to pay anything back towards your qualification).
research the company values, include lots of examples, be yourself.
