  • 1. Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
  • Value properties for banks, institutions, owners, accounts, inheritance tax etc, within the leisure or trade sectors. Golf courses, mobile homes parks, stadia etc. Write reports, inspect properties, meet clients, maintain bank manager relationships.

    8/10

  • 2. Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
  • Yes, developing all skills daily. Mathematics is tested and expanding, writing of reports expands my use of vocabulary and ensures competency when phrasing. Communication is tested daily and moreover the life skills of time management etc are tested greatly.

  • 3. To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
  • I enjoy some areas of the work and others less so. Its a heavily legislative process to conduct valuations and its a little dense. The process is good and the writing of the reports is okay, bar the relatively low interest due diligence enquiries, but that's a vital portion of the work

    7/10

  • 4. How well organised/structured is your programme?
  • Very well

    10/10

  • 5. How much support do you receive from your employer?
  • There are exceptional facilities open to you when working here, its difficult to fault it, there's almost too much to attend it becomes a bit overwhelming if you contemplate attending everything. The individual team support varies.

    8/10

  • 6. How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
  • A decent amount. They provide you with all the resources you need to undertake your study. They do listen to feedback and attempt to improve which is positive.

    7/10

  • 7. How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
  • Provides foundations by covering all the base areas of knowledge, plants the seeds. Although the first couple of years aren't necessarily directly applicable to the day-to-day it is useful to have an understanding in order to show a degree of competence

    7/10

  • 8. Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
  • Some every now and again - few social activities and a couple of sports events. I personally dont attend all that many events because i already spend a lot of time at work so tend to leave them out

    8/10
