Dealing with buildings claims valued between £3000 - £10,000. This involves managing suppliers and making financial decisions on what to pay out for a claim.
I have been developing my knowledge in insurance and learning new terminology. I believe I now have a better understanding on how insurance works across all different areas and how premiums are worked out.
I enjoy learning new things and developing my knowledge to enable me to do my job better.
It is quite well structured and we are given timescales for when each chapter needs to be done.
RSA gives us the time we need to study and gives study leave on the day of and the day before an exam. They try to adjust our work schedules where possible to let us experience any opportunities to develop our knowledge and skills.
I receive some support from my talent coach and I know that if I need extra support that I can ask her.
I believe it has given me a better understanding in my role. I now understand how insurance works across all different areas (etc. liability, marine as well as household (which I am based in).
There are professional networking events, one of which I attended recently, which gave the opportunity to meet others doing similar qualifications.
