My role is to manage the London Mithraeum Bloomberg SPACE museum. This involves dealing with all administration, communications, budgets, school and client events, help preparing all new art installations and supporting projects run by the Corporate Philanthropy department. I also have the chance to network with other teams constantly.
New collaboration skills by networking with so many people, I have become much more articulate using high level summaries in my work. Communication, adapting to new situations, problem solving, time management, interpersonal skills, work ethic, creativity, professionalism, data analysis, confidence and creativity are all the skills which i have improved.
I thoroughly enjoy it! Each day is different, fast paced and gives you a chance to be innovative. The work culture can be challenging but this builds resilience and allows you to embrace challenges. The team culture is welcoming and inspiring to be apart of. I wouldn't change anything.
A timetable for all study days is provided to indicate everything you need to know for the apprenticeship. I have a meeting with my work coach every 2-3 weeks to keep up to date with work and feel supported throughout my journey. Most of the material is available online too.
A lot of support, I have learn communication is key between study and work. As long as they are aware of everything you want to do, they will support and guide you. It is inspiring and motivating to be guided by such a professional mentor in the company who will only make you better.
A lot of support, I've learnt not to be afraid to reach out. Help is provided to your advantage at all times so use it for your benefit. My work coach is always easy to contact and has been supportive in anything i need or want to ask. I enjoy it knowing that i can be supported in both my studies and work.
I've started to apply my knowledge in the apprenticeship to everyday tasks at work, project management is key to organisation and fulfillment in all projects i am given. I have started to understand how Bloomberg operates and how such theories in my apprenticeship have helped not only on a professional level, but also a personal development.
The events i personally help in provide me an opportunity to network with professionals and meet Bloomberg's clients. I also have many social events available through the company and my apprenticeship community. This gives me the chance to meet new people and explore different places around the city.
Yes
Bloomberg is a thriving, successful and collaborative company. Each day brings you a chance to learn something new and operate in such a systematic way. It is a broad company full of opportunities in so many different areas which gives you a greater scope to explore and find out what you want.
Be committed to give your time and interest, hard work always pays off. Be confident in yourself and believe you can be apart of the company if you just adapt to your surroundings. Never be afraid to ask for help, everyone in the company is helpful and so friendly. Most of all, enjoy this journey because an experience with Bloomberg is something you cherish with you for life.
