My day to day job is as a scheduler for the Contact Centre and Customer First Centres. On a Monday I run all the reports that go with the KPI and the Commentary. My daily job is approving holidays, creating shifts for both the Contact Centre and the Customer First Centre, answering any queries among other things.
I have learnt in my role of how to communicate professionally through emails and how to do things to the best of my ability. I also have learnt a lot through my training course at Penshaw View training as the coursework I have had to complete has given me a different insight into my job.
I really enjoy the team that I am in currently. I have been in 3 different teams in the time I have been with Engie. The dynamics within my team are really good and I get on with everyone on the team which makes my job more fun and being able to have some 'banter' with your manager makes the work environment more relaxed and enjoyable.
The training course that I am on initially wasn't setup very well due to me moving from one provider to another and this not being done swiftly. The support I get of my manager is amazing she gives me as much time as I require to get my work up to a high standard; due to working in a contact centre and it getting loud I also get to work from home for one day a week to get it completed. I get given lots of work to do so I am always busy, and I am trusted to get my work done to a high level with me and my manager doing two different jobs.

My tutor is amazing and is willing to help me on anything but most importantly I ca talk to her about anything if needed.
I feel like I wouldn't know my role if I didn't do this qualification. It helps me with understanding why I have done what I have done in more detail. I have put it into practice and I also have used my work in my job to help me with my college work.
We get two volunteering days a year to go out into the local community and help out with projects. Last year I did several days out helping in schools with careers events and tidying up the schools gardens and building new equipment for them to use. We also have different sporting events going on such as boxing classes and yoga.

I would recommend Engie to a friend because it is an amazing company to work for. They are very open and caring and going into work doesn't feel like you are going into work. You become friends with your team and it feels like you are working with your friends.
Be yourself and be honest as all they are looking for is someone hard working and trustworthy. The on boarding process was really quick and easy to complete and easy to send back as it was all via email. The opportunities to progress with Engie and as a team is amazing as there is a lot of ways to progess.
