I design and deliver new or existing courses to existing or new staff members in my organisation. This can be classroom training or online courses. I attend relevant project meeting with stakeholders and deliver train the trainer session if appropriate.
The course is very thorough and consolidated existing knowledge but also taught me new knowledge and skills that are very useful in my current job role and that I use to improve my performance in my current role. These are excellent to further my career too.
The contents of the session are great, as I get a lot out of it and it challenges me. It meet my expectations when it comes to the contents. However, there isn't time much to review/consolidate the learning or checking for understanding.
Better structure needed especially Induction day to help learners make the most out and be clear about expectations of the whole programme. Induction was rushed; did not include all the requirement for the apprenticeship, so we are finding out over the first few months everything that need to be completed.
Good support received once manager learnt 4 months in what she needed to do to support me correctly. No support in the first few months from apprenticeship manager to check in if everything was OK. Support provided when we highlighted things was wrong. General lack of communication at the start
Tutor is supportive but due to changing tutor 2 months in, there was a gap and 4/6 meeting did not happen. Now this is set up we have excellent support from the tutor who is just fantastic, thorough and knowledgeable.
I am more effective and able to regularly put into practice new knowledge and skills that I have learnt. I am able to share my knowledge upwards and to my peers to improve our performances.
The company does have a concession and events, activities are available including volunteering and sport classes available.
