Handling third party personal motor claims. This involves ringing, emailing and sending letters/texts to policyholders, third party insurers and other third party representatives, in order to determine liability for motor incidents.
I have developed my communication skills drastically as I communicate with policyholders, third party representatives and also colleagues every day. My letter/email writing skills have also improved as I write them on a daily basis.
I think it is a good experience as it has given me an insight into working a full time job. I have also learnt a lot about the insurance industry which I find fairly interesting.
The programme is well organised by Kaplan as they have set out a full plan for the 18 month apprenticeship which outlines what we need to have done by certain dates. E.g. our IF1 exam
We receive good support from RSA. They give us an hour every day to revise for our upcoming exams and complete whatever else we have to do for the Kaplan side of the apprenticeship.
We receive lots of support from Kaplan. They provide us with revision webinars, we have a call/meeting with our tutor every 6 weeks and we can message our tutor whenever regarding anything to do with the qualification.
I think I would be able to do my role without the qualification we are studying for. However, I do think that the qualification will make me understand the role better and make me more knowledgeable about the insurance industry as a whole.
Yes, RSA have a sports and social club. This club puts on plenty of events and competitions for everyone to get involved in.
