Completing an HNC in engineering systems at college along with a number of additional units in preparation for University. Also going into the business during holidays to shadow current employees and learn about our roles when at work.
Developed a number of the subjects I learned in school, especially physics and maths. Also developed skills such as teamwork and communication through various classes.
The program is good so far and I am enjoying my time at college. The days in the workplace are especially enjoyable.
The program is well structured with clear progression through college and into University. We are also made aware of the structure out with study and potential routes ahead after the apprenticeship is complete.
We receive a good level of communication from the early careers team who are relatively quick to respond to any questions from us.
The college lecturers are very helpful and work closely with us in all aspects of our study and are accommodating of our workload.
Gives me a wide base of engineering knowledge which I can then build on at work.
