My role as a team leader is generally to take care of basic shop tasks such as replenishment of stock and customer service but also involves being responsible for staff and the shop when on shift as duty manager. This involves tasks such as reductions, gap checking and closing the store at the end of the night.
Everyday is a learning opportunity at Coop. I have learnt many things from the day to day running of a store to how to deal with conflict or stressful situations.
My work at the Coop I live, however the Babcock programme, I would not recommend. A lack of support from day one has left me floundering.
Badly. As I said before, the support is not there, my trainer is consistently late for appointments with no warning or apology.
Alot, my store and team manager are always available to help me with anything.
I believe not alot. The online resources are basic to say the least and most of the course content is irrelevant to my role in the coop so very hard for me to fill the required time instore.
Again, not alot. As I said previously, the course is not relevant to my role.
None regularly but we are given paid hours to complete voluntary work in the community.
Yes
