  • 1. Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
  • I am a Funeral Director, this involves dealing with bereaved families who have lost loved ones. It also involves me leading a team on the day of the funeral to ensure the families wishes are carried out, part of this involves me visiting the families prior to the funeral to discuss and confirm all of their needs and requirements for the funeral. I also get involved in community work top raise awareness of the funeral care, allow people to understand the process more, which helps them to cope with loosing a loved one when the time comes.

  • I have developed existing skills, by increasing my awareness of certain aspects of funeralcare

  • I really enjoy the workshops, as this enables me to interact with other students and share our apprenticeship journey, which enhances our skills and understanding more.

  • I receive all the support I need from my employer, they are excellent.

  • I feel it re-enforces the structure of the role, ensuring that high standards are being met at all times

  • Unfortunately not, I feel this would be a great benefit to build a cohesive team

  • Because they understand the importance of developing their staff,to ensure they produce the highest standards in their respective roles.


  • 10. What tips or advice would you give to others applying to Co-op?
  • Apply! and a whole new career will open up for you with endless possibilities. However, only apply if you can work as part of a team and succeed together.
