  • I am a team leader at coop food and I lead/manage a tea of staff to ensure the store operates smoothly

  • How to lead and manage my team more efficiently and how to help staff succeed with trading and developing new skills

  • Wouldn't say enjoy, more thinking of the benefits for the future.

  • 4. How well organised/structured is your programme?
  • Poor on communication and feed back after assignments, had no idea if what I was doing was correct or even right half the time.

  • To be honest support from the employer is not need, only the hours weekly so as I can Complete my assignments.

  • There if needed but you have to ask as like I said very little feed back.

  • In retail 0 but in deleloping and leading others I wold say has been the biggest help.

  • 8. Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
  • Don't be silly, everyone in my work place is boring. Can just about get a Christmas meal out of the business let alot any other group event.

  • 9a. Would you recommend Co-op to a friend?
  • No


  • 9b. Why?
  • Not payed enough for the stress and pressures that you get asked to do and the only ones that get the glory are store managers, why do they get a bonus? when we do all the donkey work. They wouldn't get anything without the workers.


  • 10. What tips or advice would you give to others applying to Co-op?
  • Avoid go to aldi or lidl! Get appreciated better and a much better pay as they invest into staff. Coop are image conscious and give all the money to charity.
